Paul Bro, saxophone
Paul Bro has performed throughout the United States and Canada as well as in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. As a soloist, Bro has performed concertos with the U.S. Navy Band, the Royal Air Force Band of Belgium, the Tambov Symphony Orchestra (Russia), and the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra. Bro has also performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Opera Theater, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Sinfonietta, the Grant Park Orchestra of Chicago, the St. Louis Symphony, and the Lydian String Quartet. Bro was a member of the Chicago Saxophone Quartet for more than 30 years, and is currently a member the Bro-Fowler Duo and the Solaire Saxophone Quartet. Dr. Bro is a professor of music at Indiana State University. He received his Doctor of Music and Master of Music degrees from Northwestern University, where he studied with Dr. Frederick Hemke, and his Bachelor of Music degree from Iowa State University, where he studied with Dr. Joseph Messenger. Dr. Bro served as Director of the ISU School of Music from 2013-2017.

Kurt Fowler, cello
Cellist Kurt Fowler has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. He has performed with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Syracuse Symphony and has served as principal cellist of the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, Bear Valley Music Festival, the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, and the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also performed at numerous summer festivals including the Bellingham Festival of Music, Aspen Music Festival, Sarasota Music Festival, and the Heidelberg Castle Festival in Heidelberg, Germany. An advocate of contemporary classical music, Fowler is the Artistic Director of the Indiana State University Contemporary Music Festival and has been active in the commissioning and performing of new works. He is a founding member of the Bro-Fowler Duo (saxophone and cello) and the Heare Ensemble (flute, cello, and piano), and has worked closely with various chamber ensembles that bring new music to audiences. Fowler is Professor of Music at Indiana State University, where he has been on the faculty since 1998, and teaches privately in the Indianapolis and Terre Haute communities. He received his Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from the Eastman School of Music and his Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music. His teachers have included Steven Doane, Pamela Frame, and Alan Harris and he has coached extensively with members of the Cleveland, Cavani, and Lydian String Quartets.
